Mangroves before planting and fully grown mangroves
Since 2022, Stiftunglife is planting mangrove trees in a national park in Rakhine State, Myanmar, in a coastal area. Mangrove has excellent Carbon storage facilities. The planting is done by the staff of the national park under Dr. Maung Maung Kyi who has years long experience in growing mangrove trees. the visits and verification of status of the planting is done by Ko Naing, local employee of Stiftunglife.
The project is a “Bäume pflanzen” project, meaning that we plant the trees, visit and verify state of the plantation regularly. Contrary to our „Bäume pflanzen plus“ projects, we cannot monitor or count the trees individually and replant. The donors receive the exact Geodata of the plantation and a regular written report. Current size of plantation is 74.500 mangroves planted in 2022 and 2023, price per mangrove is 0,50 cent. /pr
